An intimate personal documentary, chronicling my encounters over several months with the former leader of Banda XXII Ottobre, one of Italy's first armed militant groups, based in Genoa.
Unlike the commissioned work, this is a film I made for myself: slower, more personal, built on trust and time rather than a brief. It is the kind of documentary practice that underpins everything else I do, the reason the institutional films work is because the instinct comes from here.
